"A White London Mansion"

I came across an email from New Zealand House & Gardens and was instantly drawn to their article "White London Mansion."  It always surprises me that so many people decorate in only white.  I've always been a very eclectic decorator.  I enjoy bursts of bright and bold colors infused with neutrals but this... this looked AMAZING!

White on white dining room.
A Chanel Jacket hanging from a Gentleman's coat rack.
White Rococo furniture.
I found a dresser like this for $20 at a local thrift store.   I chose to paint it gray and the drawer pulls white.  I'll have to put it up on the blog soon.
Love the silver touches.
The burst of yellow pulls your eye to the art.
The silver painted claw foot bathtub just takes my breath away!
The heavy, ornate hallway mirror adds texture
to what could be a bland area.

Sedona Arizona's Hummingbird House Gift Shop... My favorite place to go!

Welcome to the HUMMINGBIRD HOUSE! The best gift store in town.  Not only do we shop for lotions, potions and soaps.  We also shop for amazing and creative ideas here.

When the owners purchased this historic landmark, they made it one the most desirable places to visit  and your can find unique and amazing items from furniture, garden accents, re-purposed items, fancy linen and  antiques. The Hart General Store was built in 1926 and was Sedona’s first general store.  Each room is painted a different color, decorated with different themes and is a wonderful delight to explore.
So, if you ever get tired of the crowds of tourists at Tlaquepaque and in Uptown? Check out this hidden gift shop.

This old burlap chair looks fabulous in this Halloween setting!

The Halloween Tree... notice the witch and Dracula in the back case?

They have two locations, one (my favorite) is on Brewer Rd and Ranger Station Rd near the Tlaquepaque Shops.  The other store is located in the Hyatt Shopping Center near Uptown Sedona.

Re-purposed Armoire with garden items.

The "Back Room" where they have all the Halloween Carnival and Apothecary items displayed.

The "Beach Room" where you can find the lotions and potions that we love so much.  They have exposed bead board on the ceilings which add amazing texture to this room.

Down the "Hallway" its filled with oodles of wonderful kitchen items and ideas.

The "Bathroom" with its blue-ish gray walls, old antique claw foot tub and mosaic tiled floor.

The "Living Large" room hosts more seasonal items.

I love the old vintage bike in front of the store at the Hyatt Shopping Center

Pomegranates and Pumpkins
A Woodland Owl nestled in an Autumn Tree
Mercury Glass Ornaments seem to be a big hit this year.
Parisian Porcelain Dolls

Fun Halloween Display
"Wicked Spirits" Skull Decanter and Glasses
This chandelier is made of tin and consists of five women's slippers which probably would look fantastic in a large walk in closet.

Hot Squash Pumpkins by Daria Knowles
A Salem Witch... or a Pilgrim with her Thanksgiving day Pumpkin

The venetian glass gourds or fruit... what ever you think they are.. are absolutely stunning.  So if your in town and you want to find something wonderful to take home with you, go check these two places out!
A black "Halloween" vintage bike displayed in the store.... Gotta love it.
